Structural Serenity
Solving "The Difficult Whole" through the Representation of Structural Space.
I wanted to challenge conventional structural systems by designing a "floating" space that evokes a sense of weightlessness. By strategically intersecting beams at various angles, the design creates an intricate network where the structure is the experience. These components do more than support; they generate dynamic enclosures that shift the viewer's perception of openness and confinement. The slatted enclosures reinforce the relationship between solid and void, allowing light and air to pass through while defining clear spatial boundaries.
